Tailgate Recipe Series – Hogs in a Sleeping Bag
Now that football season is in full swing I am going to give you one of my all time favorite tailgate recipes for you to try for your next tailgate! This is my go to recipe and it is a definite crowd pleaser! This one of Paula Deen’s recipes and it is so good!

Hogs in a Sleeping Bag
Serves 12
- 4 LBS Smoked Kielbasa Sausage- Cut into 2 inch pieces
- 1 Pkg. Puff Pastry Sheets
- 1 egg- beaten
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Roll out puff pastry and slice into 1-inch slices. Wrap the cut pieces of kielbasa with puff pastry. Place kielbasa onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Make egg wash in a separate bowl and lightly brush puff pastry with egg wash.
Bake for 20-25 min until golden brown. Some great dipping sauces to accompany this dish are ketchup, bbq sauce, honey mustard, spicy mustard, or apricot preserves.
